Orion Five premieres the autonomous S5 surveillance robot at SIRE 2016
One of the world's first fully autonomous surveillance robots, shown in live demonstration at the inaugural Singapore International Robo Expo.
The inaugural Singapore International Robo Expo brought together stakeholders in robotics to explore projects and collaboration. Orion Five featured one of the world's first fully autonomous surveillance robots.
Live demonstrations of autonomous patrolling and obstacle avoidance were the highlight. The Guest of Honour, then Minister of Trade and Industry (Industry) Mr S Iswaran, and other guests were given hands-on time with the robot and saw its obstacle avoidance at work, including around dynamic human movement.
