What we do
UNIT 01Orion Five is a Singapore engineering firm that specialises in systems integration. We offer four service lines: systems integration, AI workflow automation, robotics and assurance. We are 100% Singaporean-owned and have operated continuously since 2015. Our in-house staff include Registered Management Consultants, legal counsel and certified security specialists. They work alongside engineers whose skills cover software, firmware integration and design. We hold bizSAFE Level 3 certification under the Workplace Safety and Health Council's national risk management scheme.
The engineer who scopes your project stays your point of contact through delivery. We do not hand you over to an account manager once the contract is signed.
For delivery, that engineer draws on the in-house teams the work requires. We have two software engineering teams (one in India, one in Indonesia), a hardware integration team, a robotics and mechanical integration team based in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and a Singapore-based 24/7 customer support engineering team for mission-critical systems. We have around 15 people in total. We do not subcontract any work to a vendor you have never met.
The location of our teams does not determine where your data goes. Client data is processed and stored on the client's premises. Any data we host stays in Singapore, as written into every contract. Our delivery teams work within those contract terms.

Managing Director and Chief Sustainability Officer
Veronica has 26 years of experience managing business operations in Singapore and across the region. Her work covers logistics, food technology research and development, the mechanisation of manufacturing processes, and the digitalisation of manufacturing and logistics operations.
Over the past decade, she has led several multidisciplinary integrated projects for government bodies and private sector organisations. Her multidisciplinary engineering team delivered customised IoT (Internet of Things), ERP (enterprise resource planning) and robotics work that helped these clients cut costs and meet their strategic objectives.
Veronica has taken part in two National Day Parades (NDP) with the Small and Medium Enterprise contingent. She holds two NDP Silver Awards for her contribution.

Executive Director, AI Governance and Assurance Practice
Terence is a hardware engineer by training and a systems integrator by practice. He has 25 years of commercial experience in chip-level design, embedded firmware, IoT (Internet of Things) sensor platforms, computer vision and cross-functional research and development (R&D) leadership. He has turned complex sensing technology into enterprise-grade and consumer-grade devices within tight limits on cost, power and timeline. The engineering teams he has managed are multidisciplinary and PhD-level, drawn from 17 nationalities.
In software, he has designed private cloud retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) platforms that integrate with existing ICT (information and communications technology) and OT (operational technology) systems. These platforms include MLOps (machine learning operations) pipelines, role-based access control and audit trails, all specified at the design stage. His deployment work covers the full lifecycle: readiness assessment, interface and failure-mode specification, production optimisation, and measurement after deployment against a baseline set before go-live.
Terence sits on the IMDA GenAI Sandbox evaluation panel and mentors deep-tech ventures under the NUS National GRIP programme. He is co-authoring AI at Scale: Strategy, Production, and the Human-AI Workforce. His governance practice works under the Singapore IMDA framework and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework. He also has working familiarity with the Saudi NDMO and Oman TRA frameworks.
He led the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises contingent at the National Day Parade twice: as Deputy Contingent Commander in 2019, and as Contingent Commander in 2021.
He is most interested in early-stage work: creating new products, and reshaping an organisation when a team outgrows its current ways of working.

Consulting standard
A Registered Management Consultant writes your proposal. Enterprise Singapore recognises this certification, which is aligned to TR 43:2015 and SS 680:2021. The Singapore Accreditation Council accredits the bodies that issue it. The certification is not permanent. Holders are reassessed periodically, complete continuing professional development, and follow a code of conduct that carries disciplinary consequences.
In a 2021 review of the scheme, 125 of 148 SMEs surveyed said they felt confident engaging a certified management consultant. Of 88 consultants surveyed, 64 said the certification added value to their practice.
Workplace safety
We are certified under the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council's bizSAFE programme. bizSAFE is Singapore's national scheme for building risk management capability across industry. Level 3 certifies that we have developed and implemented a site risk management plan, and that an approved risk management consultant has verified it.
Recognition
The Silver Award is given to participating organisations outside the parade's executive committee that work closely with the committee and play a significant role in delivering the parade. Veronica Loh and Terence Kok received it in both years.
Sustainability
UNIT 03In 2022 we made three commitments: to support our communities, to lower the carbon emissions of what we build, and to work with suppliers who meet the same standard. A board-level committee and a cross-functional working group review our progress on all three each quarter.
