What we do
UNIT 01Five core services, one accountable team
Orion Five is a Singapore engineering practice, 100% Singaporean-owned and operating continuously since 2015, built around systems integration. Registered Management Consultants, legal counsel, and certified security specialists sit in-house, alongside engineers whose skills span software to firmware integration and design. We are bizSAFE Level 3 certified under the Workplace Safety and Health Council's national risk management scheme.
That continuity is structural, not a courtesy. The engineer who scopes your build stays your point of contact through delivery — no hand-off to an account manager once the contract is signed.
Delivery itself draws on whichever in-house team the work calls for: two software engineering teams — one in India, one in Indonesia — a hardware integration team, a robotics and mechanical integration team based in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and a Singapore-based 24/7 customer support engineering team for mission-critical systems. Around 15 people in total. Nothing is subcontracted out to a vendor you have never met.

Veronica Loh
Managing Director and Chief Sustainability Officer
26 years managing business operations in Singapore and across the region, spanning logistics, food technology research and development, mechanisation of manufacturing processes, and the digitalisation of manufacturing and logistics operations.
Over the past decade she has led several multidisciplinary, integrated projects for both government bodies and private sector organisations, helping them cut cost and meet strategic objectives through customised IoT, ERP, and robotics work delivered by a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Veronica has taken part in two National Day Parades as part of the Small and Medium Enterprise contingent, and holds two NDP Silver Awards for her contribution.

Terence Kok
Executive Director, AI Governance and Assurance Practice
Hardware engineer by foundation and systems integrator by practice, with 25 years of commercial experience spanning chip-level design, embedded firmware, IoT sensor platforms, computer vision, and cross-functional R&D leadership. His work has turned complex sensing technology into enterprise-grade and consumer-grade devices under constrained cost, power, and timeline parameters. The engineering teams he has managed are multidisciplinary and PhD-level, drawn from 17 nationalities.
On the software side he has architected private cloud retrieval-augmented generation platforms integrated with existing ICT and OT estates, with MLOps pipelines, role-based access control, and audit trails specified at design stage rather than retrofitted. Deployment work covers the full lifecycle: readiness assessment, interface and failure-mode specification, production optimisation, and post-deployment measurement against a baseline established before go-live.
Terence sits on the IMDA GenAI Sandbox evaluation panel, mentors deep-tech ventures under the NUS National GRIP programme, and is co-authoring AI at Scale: Strategy, Production, and the Human-AI Workforce. Governance practice spans the Singapore IMDA framework, Saudi NDMO, Oman TRA, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
He led the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises contingent at the National Day Parade twice — as Deputy Contingent Commander in 2019, and as Contingent Commander in 2021.
The work that interests him is at the zero-to-one end: new products, and the organisational build that has to follow when a team outgrows the way it works.

Consulting standard
Registered Management Consultant
Your proposal is written by a Registered Management Consultant, an Enterprise Singapore recognised certification aligned to TR 43:2015 and SS 680:2021, with the certifying bodies accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council. It is not permanent: holders sit periodic reassessment, keep up continuing professional development, and answer to a code of conduct with disciplinary consequences.
In a 2021 review of the scheme, 125 of 148 SMEs surveyed said they felt confident engaging a certified management consultant, and 64 of 88 consultants said the certification added value to their practice.
Workplace safety
bizSAFE Level 3
Certified under the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council's bizSAFE programme, Singapore's national scheme for building risk management capability across industry. Level 3 certifies that we have developed and implemented a site risk management plan, verified by an approved risk management consultant.
Recognition
National Day Parade Silver Award, 2019 and 2021
The Silver Award goes to participating organisations outside the parade's executive committee that work closely with it and hold a significant role in delivering the parade. Received in both years by Veronica Loh and Terence Kok.
Sustainability
UNIT 03A 2022 statement we still hold to
In 2022 we made three commitments: to our communities, to a lower-carbon build, and to suppliers who meet the same bar. A board-level committee and a cross-functional working group review progress against all three each quarter.
