Funding your project

Singapore grants can pay for part of an automation, AI or robotics project

The main business grant changed on 30 September 2026, when the EDGE Grant replaced the Enterprise Development Grant and the Productivity Solutions Grant. This page summarises the schemes most relevant to our work, as published on 23 October 2026. Terms change, so check the official page before you apply.

What we do

UNIT 01

We help you prepare the project scope that a grant assessor reads

An assessor looks for a defined business problem, a scoped project and an outcome that can be measured. Our site assessment and preliminary design produce those three things. We help you turn them into the scope your application describes.

You submit the application yourself. Enterprise Singapore does not accept an EDGE application or claim from a vendor on a company's behalf, and the grant decision belongs to the agency. Apply before any work starts or any deposit is paid.

  • A written problem statement, with today's cost in numbers
  • A fixed scope: what is built, what it replaces, what it excludes
  • A baseline, recorded before anything is built
  • A named owner for the outcome after commissioning

Three schemes matter most for automation and AI projects in 2026

Each summary restates the scheme owner's published terms as of 23 October 2026, with a link to the source.

Enterprise Singapore

EDGE Grant

Status Open since 30 September 2026

The EDGE Grant is Enterprise Singapore's main grant for company upgrading projects. It replaced the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) and Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) on 30 September 2026. Automation and digitalisation is one of the business areas it supports.

  • Eligibility: a business registered in Singapore with at least 30% ownership by Singapore citizens or permanent residents. Non-profits, societies and statutory boards are not eligible.
  • Support: up to 70% of qualifying costs for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and up to 50% for larger companies. The higher rates apply to internationalisation and sustainability activities. For most other activities, including automation and productivity projects, support is up to 50% for SMEs and up to 30% for larger companies. Each activity page states its own level.
  • Cap: up to S$100,000 of grant support per company each year, from 1 April to 31 March. Within that, S$30,000 is the limit for single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment. One of Enterprise Singapore's answers also places selected automation activities under this S$30,000 limit, so check the activity page for your project.
  • Timing: apply before any work starts. An application made after work has begun, or after any payment or deposit, is not supported.
  • Who applies: the company itself, through the Business Grants Portal. Vendors and other third parties may not submit the application or claim on the company's behalf.

Enterprise Singapore

Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) and Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG)

Status Closed to new applications on 29 September 2026

Both grants closed to new applications on 29 September 2026 and moved into the EDGE Grant. Projects already approved are still processed, and their claims are submitted on completion. Our robotic line for Raymang Eggs was funded by an Enterprise Development Grant.

  • Before it closed, the EDG supported up to 50% of qualifying costs for local SMEs, and up to 70% for sustainability projects.
  • Before it closed, the PSG supported up to 50% of the cost of pre-approved solutions for local SMEs.

Digital Industry Singapore (DISG)

Enterprise Compute Initiative (ECI)

Status Runs in cohorts; check the current intake with DISG

The Enterprise Compute Initiative helps companies with some artificial intelligence (AI) experience build an AI project to a minimum viable product within six months. The government set aside up to S$150 million for it in Budget 2025. It suits a mid-sized company with its own technical team more than a small business starting out.

  • Support: cloud credits and tools from the participating cloud providers, and 70% of consultancy costs, up to S$105,000 per company.
  • Eligibility: registered and physically present in Singapore, with sponsorship from the chief executive, at least 10 staff in Singapore and a technical team of at least two.
  • The company must also have built a custom AI proof of concept or deployment before, and have the data the project needs.

By service line

UNIT 03

Which scheme fits depends on the service line and the size of the project

01

Integration and automation

The EDGE Grant covers automation and digitalisation activities. Its annual cap of S$100,000 per company is smaller than many custom integration projects, so check the activity page that matches your scope. Our integration and automation services.

02

AI projects

A company that has already built an AI proof of concept, and has its own technical team, can look at the Enterprise Compute Initiative. A company without that experience, or with fewer than 10 staff in Singapore, does not meet its criteria.

03

Robotics

The EDGE Grant lists pre-scoped equipment activities, such as robotic arms, with their own published cost limits. We check your project's eligibility during the assessment. Our robotics service.

04

Assurance

The EDGE Grant supports standards adoption as a business area. Enterprise Singapore keeps no pre-approved list of consultants or certification bodies for it. We have not confirmed which certification activities qualify, so ask us at scoping. Our assurance service.
