FAQ
Questions worth asking before you sign anything
These are the same answers you would get on a scoping call, in writing, so you have them before you ask.
Do we own what you build for us?
Yes. On final payment you own the delivered system outright — the source code, the configuration, and your own credentials. There is no licence-back and nothing held over you afterwards.
How is a project actually priced?
Nothing is priced before site assessment and preliminary engineering design, the first two stages of every engagement. Stage three turns that work into a fixed-scope proposal with cost and sequence set out in full, so you see exactly how the outcome will be reached before you commit to anything. What the first two stages themselves cost is set out when you book a scoping call.
What if the assessment says we are not ready, or that automation is the wrong answer?
We say so. The tools we publish on /resources are built to return a "don't proceed" verdict when that is the honest one, and the same standard applies to a paid assessment.
Who actually does the work?
The engineer who scopes your build stays your point of contact through delivery, and you will know their name before you sign anything. They draw on whichever in-house team the project calls for — two software engineering teams in India and Indonesia, a hardware integration team, a robotics and mechanical integration team in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, or the Singapore-based 24/7 support team for mission-critical systems — rather than subcontracting to a vendor you have never met. Consultants, legal counsel and security specialists sit in-house too. More on who we are.
Are you insured?
Yes. Orion Five carries professional indemnity and liability insurance. Ask for the specifics during your scoping call.
Is Orion Five a real registered company I can verify?
Orion Five Engineering Pte Ltd is registered in Singapore, UEN 201509695E, at 10 Jalan Kilang, #04-05 Bukit Merah Enterprise Centre, Singapore 159410. You can look up the registration yourself at the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) before you engage us.
What happens to our data?
The contact form is covered by our privacy policy under Singapore's PDPA — nothing you submit is used for marketing and nothing is added to a mailing list. The tools on /resources go further: every calculation runs in your browser, and nothing you enter there is sent to us, stored, or logged.
Is there support after the system goes live?
Yes. The team that scoped and built your system supports it afterwards as a managed service, and mission-critical deployments are backed by a dedicated Singapore-based 24/7 support engineering team rather than a best-effort ticket queue. Response time and support scope are set out in your proposal at stage three, not left to a support queue you have never seen before signing.
