Inspection, field and research platforms

Four-legged robots for rough ground, and open platforms for teams that build their own

Legged robots work on stairs, gratings and outdoor plant, where wheeled robots cannot go. Open humanoid platforms suit teams that develop their own robot skills.

  • AGIBOT D1
  • AGIBOT X2 REC
  • AGIBOT X2 EDU

Some work takes place where wheeled robots cannot go: stairs, open-riser walkways, outdoor plant and rain. Other work starts in a lab, where teams develop the skills a robot will later use on site. AGIBOT's D1 quadrupeds and its X2 research and data-collection models cover both needs.

The problem

UNIT 01

This work is hard to staff and hard to automate

The performance figures come from AGIBOT's own deployments. We treat them as a starting assumption and test them on your site during the proof of concept.

  • Inspection rounds cross stairs, gratings and outdoor ground that wheeled robots cannot handle.
  • Some areas are hazardous or remote, and sending a person there is slow or unsafe.
  • Some teams want to develop their own robot skills, and need a platform with open interfaces and real data.

The robots

UNIT 02

We deploy 3 robots, each chosen for a specific task

Three AGIBOT X2 half-size humanoids posing beside a stack of cardboard boxes in a light grey studio.

Heavy-payload quadruped

AGIBOT D1 MaxPro

The D1 MaxPro is a 68 kg quadruped for carrying loads and working in harsh environments. Its motion control is trained by reinforcement learning, which keeps it stable on all terrain.

Weight
68 kg
Rated payload
50 kg
Endurance
2 hours at rated payload
Stairs
30 cm continuous
Speed
Limited to 2 m/s in software
Climbing angle
45°

Specifications as published by AGIBOT.

  • 2,081 Wh battery with quick swapping and an optional autonomous dock.
  • Climbs open-riser industrial stairs and rights itself after a fall.
  • IP67, rated from -20 to 55 °C.

Agile inspection quadruped

AGIBOT D1 Max

The D1 Max is lighter and faster. It has vision, LiDAR, ultrasonic and IMU (inertial measurement unit) sensing, with optional modules for autonomous navigation, reconnaissance and target recognition.

Weight
41 kg
Endurance
3.5 hours under load
Battery
2 × 504.9 Wh
Stairs
25 cm continuous
Climbing angle
45°

Specifications as published by AGIBOT.

  • IP67 protection for outdoor and industrial work.
  • Communication, power and control interfaces for mounting your own payloads.

Data-collection and teaching humanoids

AGIBOT X2 REC and X2 EDU

The X2 REC is equipped for teleoperated data collection. It connects to Genie Studio, which covers the full cycle of collecting data, training, testing and deploying. The X2 EDU is built for teaching assembly, disassembly and motion-control development, with open interfaces.

Height
131 cm
Payload
3 kg end effector
Compute
NVIDIA Orin NX 16 GB (REC); RK3588 (EDU)
Teleoperation
VR headset, controllers and motion tracking (REC)

Specifications as published by AGIBOT.

  • Whole-body teleoperation, with head, chest, back and wrist cameras and LiDAR.
  • Line-of-sight and remote data collection through AGIBOT's VR app.
  • The EDU is supplied as components, with assembly guides and course material.

What we add

UNIT 03

We add integration work specific to this solution

This work is in addition to the six-phase engagement and the support contract described on the main robotics page.

  • Inspection routes, checkpoints and the readings taken at each, written back to your CMMS (computerised maintenance management system) or BMS (building management system).
  • Payload mounting and integration for sensors, cameras and gas detectors.
  • Remote-operation links and the cybersecurity controls around them.
  • For research and teaching: lab set-up, Genie Studio and Genie Sim tooling, and the data pipeline.
